Public Consultation on the Revised PEFC EUDR DDS Module Standard

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification – PEFC has launched a public consultation on a revised version of its EUDR Due Diligence System (DDS) module standard for compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).The consultation aims to gather feedback, comments, and insights from certification bodies, companies, forest owners, wood industry associations, and other stakeholders to further improve the PEFC EUDR DDS.

The revised draft of the PEFC EUDR DDS Module Standard has been updated to align with the latest EUDR guidance. It also clarifies due diligence system requirements, simplifies certain provisions to reduce the implementation burden on businesses, enhances compatibility with the PEFC Chain of Custody (CoC) standard, and improves the consistency and practicality of implementation and assessment.

PEFC will accept comments on the draft until 25 August 2026, after which the module will be finalized and the official version published.
