Vietnam’s paper industry has continued to grow strongly in recent years, reaching an export revenue of USD 2.4 billion in 2024 and maintaining an annual growth rate of 10–12%. Domestic paper consumption has also increased by around 10% per year, reaching 672,800 tons in 2024.
The main raw materials for paper and pulp production are cellulose fibers derived from timber harvested from forests, along with a portion sourced from recycled paper. As demand for green, sustainable, and transparent production continues to rise, the use of certified wood materials throughout the paper supply chain has become increasingly important for market access, brand enhancement, and corporate responsibility.
In this context, the Vietnam Forest Certification Center (VFCC) which takes full responsibility for management and operation of Vietnam Forest Certification Scheme (VFCS) – is actively promoting certification of sustainable forest management and PEFC Chain of Custody in Vietnam.
VFCC will be joining the exhibition and collaborating with VEAS to organize a workshop on VFCS/PEFC certification entitled: “VFCS/PEFC-Certified Paper and Packaging: The Foundation of an Intelligent Sustainable Supply Chain”. Join us in this important event and meet us at the VFCC booth to learn more about VFCS/PEFC certification. VFCC is always ready to support enterprises and businesses in capacity building and market engagement.
