rom 16–19 June 2026, the Vietnam Forest Certification Center (VFCC) organized a training course on the implementation of the PEFC Chain of Custody (PEFC CoC/DDS) for woodchip and wood pellet manufacturing enterprises in Bac Ninh Province. The training attracted more than 30 participants from 10 companies across Northern Vietnam.
The training covered the following topics: (i) Vietnam Forest Certification Scheme (VFCS); (ii) PEFC Chain of Custody standards and implementation guidance, including the Due Diligence System (DDS); and (iii) additional requirements of the PEFC EUDR DDS standard module to meet the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Participants received detailed guidance and clarification on standard requirements, with practical applications tailored to business operations. The training focused on establishing a PEFC CoC/DDS management system, developing necessary procedures and forms, controlling input materials, making output claims under Chain of Custody methods, conducting risk assessments and internal audits, and maintaining records for certification audits.
VFCC will continue supporting enterprises in strengthening supply chain management capacity, meeting international market requirements, and promoting the production and export of wood products in a transparent, responsible, and sustainable manner.
