On September 29, 2026, Vietnam Forest Certification Center, in collaboration with Forest Trends, will organize a consultation workshop entitled “Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for Forest Restoration Following Mining Activities and Future Opportunities to Participate in Carbon Markets.”

The workshop aims to share and consult on the findings of an assessment of the relationship between mining activities and deforestation, while discussing the potential application of nature-based solutions to restore forests following mining activities, thereby contributing to carbon emissions reduction and climate improvement.

The workshop will serve as a forum for stakeholders to exchange knowledge and experience and propose appropriate solutions for restoring forest ecosystems in post-mining areas, protecting biodiversity, and enhancing the carbon value of forests.
